  • Please scroll down to the project FAQ at the bottom of this page for more information on this project.

HONE Heat, Power & Drive System.

This installation is our standard HONE residential Heat, Power & Drive & System, designed to provide heating & hot water to the house all year round. In addition, this system can provide free electricity for powering the home and charging electric cars. In this location the HONE system will provide nearly all the heat energy required annually.  The home has a wood pellet stove and electric boiler as 2 options for backup. HONE is now the primary heat source.

HONE energy systems are designed for each unique installation
so join the Revolution.

What HONE system has been installed here?

The system installed is a standard HONE Heat, Power & Drive System. The HONE system is the core heating system.

What was the motivation for the homeowner to do the upgrade?

The homeowners wanted low heating and electricity bills for the year as the home is approx 2,300 sqft. in size. The home is primarily built with timber frame. The homeowners also wanted an excellent energy rating  and also to meet the French nZEB as 80% of french homes fall into the lowest categories on the EPC chart. High carbon taxes are expected.

The advantages for the homeowners are a low energy bill, and a significant improvement in air quality around the house.

Where there any challenges with this installation?

This house was a new build, a very simple straight forward project. This project used radiators throughout the building with a 300L high temperature energy store. The HONE system integrated easily and the car charger was installed just outside in the driveway.

What is the location of this installation?

Treigny, Bourgogne, France.

What are the savings expected?

This system is designed to do most of the annual heating, hot water & electricity which is only backed up in the deep winter months by the wood pellet stove.
